1999
Well summer is almost over and I'm ready for the fall. I can go on hikes without it being nearly 100 degrees, and smell the crisp air. Also we can play some spooky games and watch some spooky shows and movies. I've been listening to alot of nu metal lately reminds me of a simple time when I used to go to camp. I'd normally buy a couple of CDs while on the way as tradition. Some of the memorable ones are Limp Bizkit, Korn, Slipknot, Dillinger escape plan(not NuMetal) among others. And I made some amazing friends even though I have no contact with them at all or well they are these days. 20 years can change a person. But since I'm listening to limp bizkit on walks.. not so much lol. I watched the Woodstock 99 documentary in HBO while I was in the late 90s mood. That was one fucked up festival... I mean the music and the pit and all that was everything to me max and Adrian.... Seeing what went on behind the spectacle was like ripping off a bandaid. That happened right in the glory days of camp. Wild. I do need to find the camp pictures and maybe some of the unedited videos I never posted. I did one called jack cragmont. I'll post that here

Summer of difficulty
Well to start off, we didn't do the foo fighters thing on the 4th since we were nervous if we would give noro virus to max and Colleen since Riley was sick for a good while. We got better of course.
A few weeks ago I got stranded on the side of the road with my client and I had another staff come pick him up. My parents picked me up and we had the car towed to Matthews motors. They fixed the battery cable but that only fixed half of the problem. The main problem was the alternator, which I assumed was the problem since my car acted possessed by a ghost. Which once that was fixed my radio nob is now working much better so maybe my alternator was going out for a while. Well now I have an exhaust or catalytic converter problem. I'll get that fixed later.
Well at the end of the month I took Aiden to galaxycon and he loved it! I wish I didn't spend so much there but it was worth it. This past paycheck wasn't the greatest since I was low on hours do too car problems and appts.
This month has been all guests August for my podcast Scarcasm. Which has been fun I also been completing games which is a good thing!
Also check out this shot of the storm from the other day!

father's day puke
Well father's day did not go the way I planned. First of all I came home on Saturday and Aiden goy home from his friends house and threw up all over the kitchen floor as I was getting things ready for our halo night. Before that It had already had a wrench threw in because he uninstalled halo master chief collection from the Xbox and his mom's PC. So he went to bed yo rest and I played the halo night with my friends without him hoping he would be better the next day (father's day proper) and he wasn't. That day Riley was sleepy most of the day. It was kinda nice the whole house was sleeping but I kinda wanted to spend time.
Well Monday rolled around and I started to feel sluggish and amber as well so I went home early from work and then around bed time Riley started to puke and then while cleaning him up I really started to get nauseous so I went to lay down and I threw up until 10pm or so and took off work the next day rested, and threw up some more around noon. And I felt somewhat better on Wednesday but very weak so I just took it easy and spent time with Riley and he went to sleep on the couch while I was playing some mass effect on the Xbox. I went back to work Thursday and Friday but Riley was still heavy diarrhea so we took him you the doctor on Saturday and we were there all day. Then on Monday my mom took amber and Riley back to the hospital to have hin checked again and the did a stool sample and it turns out we all had norovirus. Fun times
Now it's Thursday again and I had my second shot and I'm a bit sluggish today but not too much that I need to leave from work. But on Saturday we are going to try our best to hang with Max and Colleen in Clayton for a fourth of July event with a foo fighters cover band lol.
Here is a playlist big the father's day game night

it's almost father's day
I remember my first father's day. Aiden was only a few weeks old, I bought myself two DVDs, the oil mongul western film, there will be blood and the Bob Dylan live at newport folk festival documentary. I can't remember specifically what I got for father's day after that other than just relaxing that weekend. But this weekend I have a game night planned of Halo! Doing it with my dad friends and Aiden. This will be my 14th father's day with Aiden being 13 years old.

inoculation
Well my client went out of town and I decided to take a 3 day weekend and get vaccinated from covid-19. So I got the shot on Thursday and it wasn't so bad but then later that night my arm was pretty sore but I held it together, and Friday I was very tired and sore all over but I'm all good today. Today we went over to my parents and Katie and Larkin were there. We went swimming and Riley hated it. When we got back home I turned in Doug and Riley fell asleep watching it with me.

Hendersonville 2.5 years later
Visiting the in-law for the first time in forever. Today is Aidens 13th birthday, it's weird to think that I'm the father of a teenager... Things have changed in the family, but Devin is still cool. I wasn't even going to mention that until I was sitting listening to right wing ranting. But anyway, I just stay out of that stuff and just talk video games and listen to hardcore and doom metal. Just trying to be a chill dude is always my goal in life. Watching Kayleigh play resident evil village right now, she is jumping at every sound lol, Kaleigh is bean btw and that's not dead naming sense beam Is nickname she is okay with. Support trans rights

two NPR podcast episodes later...
I finally got gas today, wrapped around two different roads into the Sheetz. One episode got me all heated on how hateful and echo chamber inducing it was, and I thought maybe I'm not as liberal as I thought.... Until I checked the ivisibilia reddit and saw that 99% of NPR listeners hated the episode and saw it the same as I, a discorse killing, hateful echo chamber. We need discorse, true in person off social media discorse and we need listeners, not bullies to get passed this hell we are in.
